EMU: Annual CPI rises 0.8% in January

FXStreet (Barcelona) - According to data released today by Eurostat, Eurozone annual inflation grew 0.8% in January, following a 0.8% increase registered the previous month. This result is slightly above analysts' forecasts of +0.7%. On a monthly basis Eurozone CPI fell 1.1% in January, after climbing 0.3% in December, below forecasts of a 0.4% drop.

Year-over-year CPI-Core rose 0.8% in January, following a 0.7% increase in December.
