EUR/USD treading water around 1.0820

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The shared currency keeps the firm tone above the 1.0800 handle on Thursday, with EUR/USD meandering around 1.0820/25.

EUR/USD eyes on ECB, US data

The pair is gaining over a big-figure since yesterday’s troughs around 1.0720 to Thursday’s session highs beyond 1.0840, backed by a renewed offered tone from the US dollar.

In the meantime, the ECB will publish its accounts for the last monetary meeting ahead of the US releases: Trade Balance, Factory Orders and Initial Claims.

Back to Greece, finmin Y.Varoufakis expressed his discontent regarding the leak to the press of the list of reforms on Wednesday, while PM A.Tsipras emphasized that the country is undergoing a humanitarian crisis.

EUR/USD levels to watch

As of writing the pair is up 0.56% at 1.0824 and a surpass of 1.0846 (high Mar.31) would aim for 1.0858 (10-d MA) and then 1.0900 (high Mar.30). On the downside, the immediate support lies at 1.0713 (low Mar.31) ahead of 1.0688 (61.8% of 1.0457-1.1062) and finally 1.0650 (low Mar.20).
