AUD/USD dives deeper, hits fresh daily lows

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Aussie slumped against the US dollar in the late -Asian morning, after a temporary reversal seen in the previous session on weaker Chinese data as well as lower Australian equities.

Currently, the AUD/USD trades close to fresh daily lows at 0.8126 levels, down -0.62% on the day, having posted day’s high at 0.8184 some hours ago. The Aussie edged lower against the greenback largely due to sluggish Chinese manufacturing activity numbers which came in at 18 months low, raising concerns over external demand from China, Australia’s top trading partner.

AUD/USD Technical Levels

The pair has an immediate resistance at 0.8184 (Today’s High) levels, above which gains could be extended to 0.8205 (Dec 30 High) levels. On the flip side, support is seen at 0.8119 (Dec 30 Low) levels, from here it to sub 0.81 levels.
